Parenting during pandemic is a tough job. Whether you are already struggling with this job or you are simply trying to be more efficient at it, this blog post has ideas and suggestions to make your life better.

When it all started in early 2020, many of us didn't imagine how difficult the life will get for the entirety of the year. Even with a few vaccines in the market, many countries are projecting things will get worse in 2021 before they eventually get better. In the beginning, it wasn’t easy for me either. But, over time, I was able to adapt and make small yet significant changes that helped me tremendously in enjoying parenting during this global pandemic.
Even with a few vaccines in the market, many countries are projecting things will get worse in 2021 before they eventually get better.
So let's get started. Here are top 5 things that helped me get over the struggle of parenting during an ongoing pandemic and I am confident these will help you excel as well.
Manage work
No matter whether you have to go to work each workday or you are a work-from-home parent like me, this year has been nothing short of a fictional universe. With a lot of parents choosing the safer option of keeping their kids at home even with schools and daycares re-opening with strict COVID-19 guidelines, taking care of your kids full-time while meeting expectations at work is a daunting task. It is important, however, to manage work in a way that you attain a healthy work-life balance.
Manage finances
Many people are facing adverse economic impact from this global pandemic. If you haven't given it a thought yet, manage finances more carefully these days to relieve some of the stress caused by thinning of your bank balance. After a flurry of job losses and unhealthy future outlook, there are many tools that you can make use of including government assistance and free online resources by financial institutions.
Delegate tasks
If you have a helping wife like I do, make sure you delegate some of your tasks to her in order for you both to enjoy time with your kid(s). Teamwork is the name of the game. Focus on strengths of you as well as your loved ones who are willing to help and accomplish a win-win situation for all by sharing the work.
Find a hobby involving your kids
It will not be easy unless you have fun while parenting. Try to find a hobby that involves your kids. For me, I love writing. Hence I decided to start a parenting blog. I am sure you can find something too.
Be in the moment and enjoy small things
I cannot stress on this enough. Unobjectionably, there will be tough days and you will feel overwhelmed. But it is imperative to step back and be in the moment. Don't let the mountain of workload weigh you down. Enjoy little things that make you smile and feel good. For most of us, its going to be our munchkins :)
